The 2012 Olympics project, which is centred around East London has already benefited heavily from the use of stabilisation techniques to achieve its' stated aim of minimal environmental impact.

The south east has a history of successful stabilisation projects, including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL). The CTRL Stratford International Station will be one of the three gateway stations to the Olympic Park. This project used stabilisation techniques to massively reduce site arisings.
