The Roads Task Group is comprised of representatives from contractors, consulting engineers, plant manufacturers, binder, aggregate and admixture suppliers, TRL and the Highways Agency.

Concrete and cement bound materials have a long history of successful applications in road construction, and the object of the group is to promote the continuing use of cementitious products through ensuring that design codes and specifications are reviewed and improved to reflect the latest research and construction techniques.

The group produces guidance notes on relevant issues and the group member companies regularly participate in product/plant development and trials.

• Review on minimum thickness of surfacing on hydraulically bound bases
